TOO MUCH TO DO AND SO LITTLE TIME...

And that’s not me ... that’s my son! Since the start of January my new role as ‘taxi driver’ has hit a high. Jack has swimming lessons, karate, golf lessons, play dates, Beavers and Cubs (he is moving up or should I say ‘swimming up the river’ so has had to go to both for a few weeks). There is so much on offer for children these days and I can’t help but wonder what will be next.

Strangely, the highlight of Jack’s year so far is that he needs glasses. Not surprising given that both of his parents are short sighted but I did feel a little sad that he needed them so young. Apparently glasses are cool and his school friends (with their 20/20 vision) are all jealous! Whilst the chunky, brown NHS frames of my youth are gone I suspect that within a few months Jack will be the boy with the sellotape on his glasses.

Dacorum Community Choir is a friendly choir with daytime rehearsals and no auditions. We make a point of welcoming newcomers, whether or not you can read music or have sung before. Total membership is thriving, with around 110 members at the last count, but we particularly need more tenors - of either sex. We meet during school terms but you can join in mid-term.
