Whether you are a runner, walker, cyclist, or you are looking for something a bit more exciting, check out our range of exciting challenges for 2017.
Last year was our busiest year on record. Thanks to the introduction of our night car service, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance went to 1,989 missions in total. That’s almost six every day.
We have gone from only being able to help other communities in daylight hours to being available until the early hours of the morning, every single day of the year. But none of this would be possible without our supporters. Our charity receives no government funding – we are literally kept in the air by the generosity of our local communities.
So this year, why not do something extraordinary?
Whether you’re a committed athlete, an adventurer, or someone looking to make a positive change in 2017, why not help your local air ambulance?
We have fundraising challenges to suit everyone. From cycling the amazing Mount Ventoux Challenge in France, to completing an abseil, marathon, sky dive, wing walk, or even just a run, you could be part of doing something amazing – keeping your air ambulance saving lives.
If you can’t be part of a fundraising challenge but still want to help, we are always looking for volunteers. Volunteering at the air ambulance is varied and rewarding. We have roles ranging from fundraising to shop work to helping in our head office. Just get in touch and find out if we have something to suit you.
