■ GREEN BUS SUMMIT Green Tools for Fleets Panelist: Andrew Burnham Learn about the Alternative Fuel Life-Cycle Environmental and Economic Transportation (AFLEET) tool, a joint effort by the National Clean Cities Program and Argonne National Laboratory examines both the environmental and economic costs and benefits of alternative fuel and advanced vehicles. Argonne AFLEET Tool for Clean Cities stakeholders to estimate petroleum use, greenhouse gas emissions, air pollutant emissions, and cost of ownership of light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles using simple spreadsheet inputs.

Critical Incident Management Presenter: Bret Brooks Transportation directors must respond at a moment’s notice to any number of possible emergencies. School buses break down over hill crests, get involved in traffic crashes, have students fight on the bus, get hijacked, and get caught in inclement weather. Be prepared to handle these and other types of crises by attending this workshop. Learn how to manage the multitude of a critical incident elements and gain the confidence to respond accordingly.

Means to Them Presenter: Patrick Mulick Learn the characteristics of autism and step into the shoes of students on the spectrum and how they are affected by the sights and sounds of the school bus ride. Discuss strategies to support a better, safe onboard environment for them, your drivers and monitors, and the other students on board.
