A Retreat for the Sensitive Person D

r. Kyra Mesich, holistic psychotherapist and author of The Sensitive Person’s Survival Guide, will host a Strength of Sensitivity retreat in Woodbury, from September 23 to 25. This retreat is a supportive place for sensitive souls to take time for themselves and to slow down and regain en- ergy that’s been lost. The schedule includes Friday evening, Saturday all day and concludes on Sunday morning. “Be yourself and join us in a safe, validating place with
other sensitive folks who understand,” advises Mesich, further describing the retreat as “… a place to be yourself, find your- self and take care of yourself.”
Retreat activities include yoga, meditation (no experience necessary), signa-
ture flower essences, stones/crystals, spirit animal meditation and topics chosen by the group to answer questions and untangle current challenges. Mesich has a doctoral degree in psychology and offers a unique blend of counseling plus flower essence therapy, nutrition education and intuition develop- ment to support adults, teens and kids in the midst of emotional pain and struggle. Mesich also offers workshops on such topics as The Strengths of Sensitivity, Seasonal Affective Disorder and Flower Essence Therapy for People and Pets.

assafras Health Foods, in White Bear Lake, will host a free to attend, toxin-free beauty workshop, Let’s Talk Dirt: Avoiding Toxic Beauty, from 7 to 8 p.m., on September 28. The work- shop is led by Tammy Ball, educator for ACURE and a licensed esthetician. There will be live product demonstra- tions with interactive tips and tricks and free samples. Ball follows her passions for inspir- ing others to eliminate toxins on their path to beauty and wellness and for utilizing yoga for healing through mind, body and spirit. Sassafras Health Foods is a 28-year- old business dedicated to providing education, health food, nutritional supplements and body care products for its patrons.

making your own Joy Journal; discovering how journal writing can be a creative outlet; learning how journal writing can be a vehicle for self-discovery; and experiencing the beautiful, soul-filled music. Jambor offers, “I invite you to step back from the demands of your daily life
and embrace the wisdom that lives in you, experience the healing energy of enlightened women, and immerse yourself in the deep stillness of silence.” Also facilitated by Jambor are workshops for The Artist’s Way offered through-
out the year.
