Local History Society, Wateringbury Village Hall Former Maidstone police superintendent Roy Ingleton spent years dealing with disaster. In 2010 he wrote a book about disasters of Kent from medieval times to the present day. Hear him talk about the fires, explosions, epidemics, accidents at sea and tragedies resulting from enemy action and acts of God. Visitors welcome. 7.30 - 10pm. Admission £3

January 28 Arts Award 'Discover in a Day' Children aged 5+ can gain a Discover Arts Award. During the day, with parental supervision, they will investigate different art forms, find out about an artist or


collector and create a piece of art. Kent artist Graham Clarke will work with the children, who will receive a certificate on completion of the day from the museum and another official Arts Award Certificate a few weeks later.
