ADVERTORIAL

as a special gift, guests are awarded a Spa Tribute worth €30 or more when book- ing a room so that they can enjoy the spa at a discount. The more active guests not only have ac-

cess to a gym and exercise studio, but also to a vast outdoor swimming pool which looks out towards the sea, and to the delights of the Mallorcan coast with swimming, sail- ing, windsurfing and water-skiing as well as biking and hiking in the Tramuntana, not to mention the four golf courses the hotel has access to – all within easy reach of the St Regis (by a complimentary shuttle service). Gourmands will

love the resort’s Es

Fum restaurant with its acclaimed tasting menus of six, eight or ten courses, awarded with a Michelin star. Lighter fare can be enjoyed at a choice of restaurants from ta- pas to seafood but the Sunday brunch has become an institution of not just the hotel but of the entire neighbourhood. All the elements of a perfect carefree

holiday have been thought of and are on offer within the hotel’s exquisitely land- scaped grounds… so it would seem churl- ish and capricious to even consider leaving its enveloping luxury… but with so much to see and enjoy nearby it would be a pity not to escape and explore a little of this extraordinary island. And on return of course, you can head straight for the spa to refresh and replenish.

VISIT – Palma, the island’s capital, with a wonderful cathedral (one altar by iconic Spanish architect Gaudi), great shops and lots of cafés and tapas bars.

SEE – the Tramuntana at their best by tak- ing a drive through them. Whether just for an hour or a day, the sights are spectacular, the scenery spellbinding… if you have time, head for Cap de Formentor which feels like the end of the world with the sea below.

EAT - one of the magnificent tasting men- us at Es Fum... have a light dinner, opt for the 10 tasting dish menu or head for the Aqua restaurant and savour.

ENJOY – the gardens, space, service and sheer luxury of St Regis Mardavall… stay by the pool and all you need will be brought to you… simply chill in the sunshine.

PLAY – at the ritzy, glitzy Puerto Portals marina, just minutes away from the resort with its designer shops, chic cafés and sip a cava while counting the mega yachts.

RELAX – at the Arabella Spa, wallow in its pools, float your stress away in the saltwater pool, relax in the steam room, unwind in the sauna and then pamper yourself with a Niance facial or luxuriate in the St Regis Mardavall Pampering Ritual: a body and beauty special.
