Gensets: transport solutions through design

INMESOL’s Technical Department has developed a new 145165 KVA canopy for generator sets models IIRN145, IIRN165, IVRN145, and IVRN165 from the company’s Rental Range. The Rental Range is aimed at temporary electrical supply, where the main applications are the construction industry, public works, road development, underground construction roles, concerts, celebrations and for the telecommunications sector.
A
spokesman for INMESOL UK com- ments: “The new 145-165 KVA canopy has been developed for the company’s generator sets models -
the IIRN-145, IIRN-165, IVRN-145, and IVRN-165. “The canopy embraces a smaller design
while retaining all the qualities in terms of features and noise emissions as satisfactory as those of its predecessor. “These generator set models are usually assembled in a canopy with the following dimensions: 3640mm x 1380mm x 2145 mm. Its new dimensions 3525mm x 1140mm x 1950mm are ideal to take full advantage of both maritime and land load combinations.” This new developments means a 40-feet
low-bed trailer truck can transport up to six units thanks to the subtle reduction of the canopy’s width. [see pic below] “We are very pleased with the results,”
explains Antonio Mármol, head of the Rental Commercial Department in Europe. He said: “This new design will benefit many renters who must transport several generator sets constantly from one place to another, and will be very welcomed by clients and potential clients who were looking to meet these kinds of needs, and whose suggestions I collected at BAUMA 2016.” The design of INMESOL Rental Range
generator sets has been influences by a variety of potential rental equipment require- ments. There is a demand for robust and compact machines, with low levels of noise and gas emissions, large access points for easy maintenance tasks, and, above all, pro- tection elements which ensure safe handling from both operational and usability stand- points, as this type of equipment frequently changes locations. This year INMESO has experienced

a 25% increase in sales of rental generator sets, compared to the same period in 2015, eports the company. In a recent contract, an Inmesol generator set was installed in one of the tallest buildings located in Hamburg’s port area. A 110 KVA LTP power emergency set, IV-110 model, with a Volvo engine, has now been fixed on the roof terrace of the building. This building used to be an old grain silo converted into a business centre. It is 55m high, with 15 floors dedicated to offices, and it even has a restaurant. The generator has been installed to provide emergency power in case of mains failure affecting the lifts or the high pressure water pumps for the fire personnel, as well as the emergency lighting.
