Maidstone Borough Council 9 Recycle your way through Christmas!

Christmas is on its way. Part and parcel of the festivities is knowing what to do with all the additional waste generated and how can you dispose of the never- ending pile of wrapping paper!

We have a few suggestions that should help you and the environment this year.

Keep your black bin trim this Christmas.

Recycle all of these in your green recycling bin:  Wrapping paper, cards and envelopes  Cardboard packaging, boxes & tubes  Chocolate boxes and inner trays  Kitchen foil, foil trays and dishes  Glass bottles and jars (lids too!)  Food tins, drink cans, biscuit and sweet tins  Plastic bottles, plastic meat trays, plastic sweet tubs  Juice cartons

Remember: *Christmas tree lights beyond repair can be recycled by placing in a carrier bag alongside your black refuse bin.

*All food waste including cooked & raw meat, bones, shells and peelings can go in your food bin and be collected weekly.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, please place your bins at the boundary of your property by 6am.
