TXTA Spotlight: David Saunders Texas Governor Greg Abbott
announced the appointment of TXTA Board of Directors member David Saunders of Waxahachie to the Governing Board of The Texas School for the Deaf in Austin. The board overseas the provision of all TSD services and is responsible for bud- get preparation, policy adoption and the appointment of the superintendent. David is the president of Workforce QA, a back- ground provider and drug testing company for employers. He has spent over thirty years in the transportation industry work- ing his way from driver to CEO of his com- pany, Compliance Safety Systems which he later merged with Workforce QA. He is also a member of the American Trucking Associations where he co-chaired the Safe Stat Task Force. Additionally, he is a mem- ber of the Traffic Enforcement Committee of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. His term will expire in 2019.
