Petaluma, CA.~ Everyone would love to have a brighter smile, but not everyone knows there are other ben- efit beyond the ob- vious ones, to hav- ing whiter teeth. Not only do whiter teeth help a person feel more confident, but your bright grin can make others feel more instantly at- tracted and connect- ed to you. Your smile is the first thing a
person notices about you, and if your teeth are yellow and stained they are likely to be turned off. A bright, shiny smile projects
good health and a youthful ap- pearance. It can also open you up to more relationship opportuni- ties, and increase your chances of getting hired, or closing a busi- ness deal. Studies have shown that in-
dividuals with whiter teeth are more outgoing and engag- ing. When you know your teeth look brighter and healthier you may smile wider and talk more. Tis could have a lasting social,

Grazing Goats Provide Fire Fuel Reduction in Howarth Park
Santa Rosa, CA. ~ Last month, the Department experimented with a new and sustainable ap- proach to reducing the fire fuels in Howarth by contracting with a grazing service. A herd of goats was brought into the park to control undesirable vegeta- tion along Sullivan Ridge Trail. The goats fed on heavily grown underbrush and poison oak and completed the 2.5-acre grazing job in a week. Staff will be ex- ploring other projects where it might be appropriate to utilize grazing services in the future. Check out a video of the goats arrival into Howarth Park on May 2!
