Introducing The Garden of England Day Care Centre Business Focus

Allyson, Helen & Alison Part of The Garden of England Homecare team

The Garden of England is proud to announce the opening of a new day care centre in Maidstone for the over 50’s. Identifying the need for something a little different, the company has been working with carers, clients, friends and local authorities to develop this unique environment. The centre located near Maidstone Town will be operated in partnership with Golding Homes.

The friendly, fun, safe, community-based centre is open to any individual who needs to use a care service. It will allow people in the Maidstone and surrounding areas to have a

place to socialise whilst receiving support, developing their social skills and maximising independence. It will also be available for those who just want to pop along and socialise. The Garden of England will be offering an additional Cognitive Therapy Club which will run over a 14 week period, it will help develop cognition and memory for those with a diagnosis of Dementia, in a fun, friendly and non-invasive environment which will maximise independence. Reservations are now being taken for September. Book 14 weeks for the price of 12 when you quote reference GOE001.

Future plans include a ‘Pop In’ facility on a Saturday morning, to allow carers to carry out chores without the worry of taking or leaving their loved ones on their own. A Sunday lunch club and occasional evening events will also be coming soon.

If you think the day centre - or care at home - would benefit you or someone you know, or if you want to just have a friendly, no-obligation, chat then please get in touch.

Support for Carers too.

The day centre will operate a drop in service offering “care for carers.”

This offers an open invitation for all carers to call in at any time they feel they wish to. The open door policy will offer support, advice and guidance, particularly during stressful and emotional times in their caring role - or just offer a cup of tea and biscuits.
