Is your company a Future Star? Competition


If you are part of a technology company that is growing and gaining a strong reputation in the sector, you are encouraged to enter the Southern Tech 100 Future Stars competition.


Shortlisted companies will have the opportunity to gain valuable promotion, and free mentoring and advisory services, to help boost their growth. On top of this, they will be featured in The Business Magazine and on social media.


The Southern Tech 100 is The Business Magazine’s annual listing of the top- 100 private, independent technology companies in an area stretching from Banbury to the Isle of Wight.


Criteria


• Entrants must be businesses with turnover of between £1 million and £8m


• They must have filed at least one year’s annual accounts


• They should be unquoted and UK- owned – and based in the Southern Tech 100 area (Thames Valley and Solent & South Coast regions – see map opposite)


• Fast-growth pre-revenue companies will also be considered.


How to enter


• Submit a 500-word narrative, a one- minute video clip, or both, illustrating why your company promises to be a 'Future Star'


• Entries should be emailed to Carry de la Harpe at carolyn@elcot.co.uk by August 31, 2016.


Details


Finalists submitting a video clip and chosen to ‘pitch’ to judges will have the option to ‘professionalise’ their video if required.


These videos will then be posted on our website – so that our readers and the tech community can vote for the best.


Shortlisted nominations will also be invited to pitch their business to a panel of judges in September 2016. Winners will be announced October 1, 2016.


Prizes The winner will receive:


• A trophy for the reception or boardroom • Free mentoring and support from Moore Stephens, Barclays and Marks & Clerk


• Free mentoring session with a successful Tech 100 company working in the same field as the winner


• A full-page feature in The Business Magazine • Promotion on businessmag.co.uk and in social media.
