Samuel Dunn: Scientia Terrarum et Coelorum: or, the Heavens and Earth Astronomically and Geographically Delineated and Display'd. Containing the Most Curious & Useful Particulars in the Solar, Starry, & Mundane Systems, Faithfully Enumerated. Sayer Edition with the date 1772. A mounted, framed and glazed wall map from the latter part of the 18th century. The large sectioned, double-hemisphere map of the world (with coast lines h/c in outline) is surrounded by celestial and astronomical maps, an inset world map on Mercator's projection, a tinted map of the moon, and an explanation of the Vicissitude of Seasons. The hemisphere maps also feature routes followed by Cook 1769/72, Anson 1742, Bougainville 1768 & Bouvel 1738/39.
