Entomology - A selection of some of the rarer and more beautiful species of insects. 1848. Qto., cloth gilt. Three exquisitely detailed hand coloured engraved plates, plus one other uncoloured. Effectively this title was a promotional volume designed to advertise the proposed two volume work to be published with 42 plates. The book features the name of entomologist 'Harry Moore' in manuscript on the fep and a library label indicating the book came from 'The Henry Moore Collection'.
