• Alexandra Page of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been elected to the committee of the Southampton Property Association (SPA). A surveyor in the industrial agency team at LSH’s Southampton office, Page joins the 19-strong SPA committee which oversees the running of the organisation, arranges networking events and promotes Southampton’s buoyant property sector further afield. The committee comprises a range of different parties operating across Southampton’s property industry, including solicitors, journalists, agents, architects and investors.


• Southampton and Cowes- based transport-and- distribution specialists, Acclaim Logistics, has appointed Sean Pooley to its growing Isle of Wight-based team. Pooley has extensive logistics experience and detailed local knowledge. As one of very few carriers to maintain and actively develop operations on both sides of the Solent, Acclaim handles significant volumes of palletised goods, parcels and documents both on the mainland and island every day, and it has recently introduced a unique priority door-to-door shuttle service.


• Moore Blatch solicitors in Hampshire has appointed prominent immigration solicitor Tamara Rundle to head up its immigration department. Rundle has over 10 years’ experience advising both companies and individuals on a wide variety of immigration matters. As well as her corporate work, she has a history of successfully representing members of the armed forces and LGBT clients on immigration issues. She has worked in the UK and overseas and speaks French and improving Italian. Rundle complements her immigration expertise with a great deal of


employment experience. This has given her a unique insight into the priorities and concerns of employers, businesses and prospective specialist employees in relation to immigration.


• The Business Magazine, the leading B2B events and publishing house in the region, has announced that Carry de la Harpe has been promoted to editor. After a successful two years as content editor, de la Harpe now takes on the role as editor, commissioning writers, overseeing news and features in the magazines, newsletters and websites. She joined Elcot Publications in 2005 as production manager and two years later moved into the role of production editor.


With a BA Degree in English and Art History, de la Harpe started her working life as a copywriter with TBWA in South Africa. She obtained a postgraduate Degree in English Literature and a Diploma with Honours in Marketing and Advertising, and her career has spanned a variety of advertising, marketing, PR and publishing roles, including running her own marketing communications agency for four years before moving to the UK and joining Elcot. • Paris Smith LLP, which is one of the largest law firms in Hampshire, with prestigious offices in Southampton and Winchester, has announced a number of promotions within the firm. Rachel Osgood, a family-and-collaborative-law senior associate, has been promoted to partner. Edward Power, Joanne Spittles, Jin Takhar and Victoria Onoufriou who were commercial-property senior associates have likewise been promoted to partners. Claire Merritt in employment law, and Elizabeth Power in tax and estate have been promoted from solicitors to associates.


• Southampton digital agency Advantec has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of Emma Budd as senior content marketer. Based in Swanwick, Advantec specialises in the design and build of market-leading websites for businesses, brand names and e-commerce retailers. The team works with clients based across the UK, ranging from regional businesses to government organisations. Recent projects have included the creation a new e-commerce website for Beaulieu, one of Hampshire’s top tourist attractions. As senior content marketer, Budd will be responsible for creating


content marketing strategies for clients, designed to strengthen the sales process and aid their SEO and digital marketing activity. This will include planning, writing and editing high-quality content.
