BE PREPARED - Having a small “handyman’s’” bag on board is a must. Not only is it important to have a couple of screwdrivers and adjustable wrenches, but also a variety of fuses and light bulbs. There is always a time when you will have to tweak something on your unit. Another great item to store is a mini compressor. Not only will it save you grief caused by a leaky tire off the beaten path, it’s great to blow up the various water toys one might have.


Pool noodles are an RV’ers best friend! Cut a slit on one side and slip them over the edges of all the slide outs of your RV so you don’t knock yourself out. They can also be used around the 5th wheel hitch and the awning and will also bring cool co- lours to your unit!


You could (and many have) write a book about all the RV tips, tricks and advice both past and pres- ent. So buy a book to read on the road (or download it on your tab- let) or use my favourite method of learning – listening. The RV show is a great place to meet and share ideas, enjoy!
