FACULTY OF DENTISTRY


THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS IRELAND Introduces its autumn postgraduate dental education programme and annual scientific meeting.


Te Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) has organised Saturday morning modules of postgraduate dental education, with a strong focus on practice issues in preparation for membership examinations.


Tese will take place at the RCSI, 123 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, on the following dates:


■ September 5th 2015 (Free Intensive Revision Course) ■ October 3rd 2015 ■ November 14th 2015 ■ December 12th 2015


Te modules will start at 8.25am and will feature five 40-minute presentations until 1pm.


Attendance at these modules will count towards the yearly requirements for CPD, as laid down by the Dental Council of Ireland. 4 CPD points will be awarded per module.

Te Faculty of Dentistry RCSI is delighted to announce that its Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2015 will be held in Dublin on 29 and 30 October 2015.


Te theme of this year’s meeting is ‘New Horizons in Dental Practice’ and will take place at Te Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, 123. St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.


A group of renowned speakers from the United States, Canada, the UK, Holland and Ireland will present the most up to date information concerning the constantly evolving science related to dentistry.


Tis meeting will review all the digital aids that are used in record keeping, pre-treatment diagnosis and treatment planning and clinical and laboratory work. Te diverse areas of dental science that will be covered will include restorative dentistry both clinical and laboratory; endodontics, 3D planning, digital orthodontics, infection control, clinical photography and periodontics. In addition radiology, endoscopic surgery and comprehensive practice management will be expertly addressed.
