The use of titanium bases in the construction of zirconium dental
prostheses offers a lot of advantages compared to directly screwed zirconium implant structures. The use of titanium bases are recommended for all directly screwed implant structures, especially for anterior reconstructions, since there the transverse forces of the masticatory movements are more intense. The titanium bases both reduce the forces generated on the zirconia structure and protect the implant fittings.
With the Zirkonzahn Titanium Spectral-Colouring Anodiser, titanium bases can be anodised with different colours (e.g. golden) which avoid their visibility under the zirconia structures. The high biocompatibility of the titanium remains unchanged. In order to bring the implant to the desired gingival level and to obtain an aesthetic and hygienic solution, titanium bases are available in different platform heights from 1-4 mm.
