Trailer-train link for Turkey Dachser UK steps up to daily from Iberia


One of Turkey’s largest transport firms, Ekol Logistics, is planning a new inter-modal sea-rail link to France, which could also be extended to the UK.

general manager Murat Bog told the Pegasus Cargo- sponsored International Transport Logistics Conference at Istanbul’s Bahcesehir University on 8 October that a trailer train link connecting with shipping services from Turkey at the southern French port of Sete would initially go to Paris but that a link to Calais and Barking would be added later. Dachser UK has started a daily direct road trailer service to and from San Sebastian Spain in co-operation with Azkar Dachser Group, the Dachser SE Group’s subsidiary organisation in Iberia. Its San Sebastian hub is a key gateway, connecting with over 69 locations throughout Spain and Portugal.

logistics provider in early 2013, following a close working partnership with the company since 2008. The new direct service from and to the UK will

New trailers, new structure for Ferrymasters


P&O Ferrymasters’ Irish division has taken delivery of 150 new trailers over the past month in the first phase of a project to renew its entire fleet in the country by 2017. All the trailers are being supplied with telematics systems and enable real-time track & trace monitoring through dedicated customer web portals linked to a

TNT launches Georgia road route TNT has launched a scheduled road connection from Europe to Georgia. A new line haul will connect Georgia’s capital Tbilisi with TNT’s European Road
