Autumn 2015
Chairman’s Introduction
INTRODUCTION T
he return of the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair to Berkeley Square marks another successful year for the Association. Following an exciting
development period, I am delighted to announce the re-launched LAPADA website which makes finding and buying art and antiques from reputable dealers easier than ever before. With in-depth dealer profiles and specialist collecting advice from members adher- ing to LAPADA’s Code of Practice, the website is a us- er-friendly portal for sourcing pieces from the ancient through to the contemporary. We welcomed over 20,000 visitors in 2014 and this
year’s Fair offers another opportunity to discover an eclectic, expertly curated range of art, antiques, design and the decorative arts. Due to demand we have ex- tended the opening period this year to include a further day: I feel sure you will take this opportunity, as I shall, to appreciate the offerings of the 108 exhibitors over re- peat visits. We are delighted by the continued support of the specialist real estate investment and advisory company Delancey as Principal Sponsor of the Fair. Delancey’s generosity also makes possible the LAPADA Charity Party, this year in support of Maggie’s, which promises to be an enjoyable evening for a remarkable beneficiary. With a thoughtful approach towards the projects it supports, Delancey has proved an apt and enthusiastic partner. In my fifth year as Chairman, I continue to be im- pressed by the knowledge and passion of LAPADA Members, and applaud their understanding of the val- ue of working together for the good of this remarkable trade as a whole. Whether displaying the golden chan- delier logo on their stands at fairs nationwide or travel- ling from abroad to attend the annual LAPADA Confer- ence, it is these dealers, with businesses large and small, who are the lifeblood of the Association. Extending throughout and beyond the UK, the Association contin- ues to stand for quality, integrity, and a commitment to bringing works of beauty, culture and interest to both

established and new audiences. I join the Earl Howe, President, Rebecca Davies, Chief Executive, the Board of Directors, LAPADA team and membership in thank- ing you for your support.
The Lord Chadlington Chairman
