ABOUT LAPADA
The objectives and services of the UK’s largest association of art & antiques dealers, established 1974. Objectives
• To collectively and individually promote the art andantiquesindustry
• To direct the public to reputable dealers: LAPADA was the first association of its type to tie its mem- bers to a Code of Practice backed by a free concilia- tion service
• To represent the interests of a wide base of art and antiques dealers toUKandEUgovernment
• To advise and assist our members, helping their businesses run at maximum efficiency with mini- mumcosts
• To provide a community for the exchange of ideas andforging of partnerships
• Outreach to the next generation of antiques deal- ersandthosenot yet eligible forLAPADAmember- shipthroughsupportofother assistinggroups
Membership
• All members are VAT registered and will have been trading for at least three years prior to sub- mitting an application. References are then taken regarding quality of stock and professional integ- rity. Finally the Board of Directors must unani- mously agree for an applicant to be elected to membership
• Members agree to abide by the strict Code of Prac- tice,overleaf
