BAUER BUILT, INC. ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF CENTRAL TIRE & TREAD - LEXINGTON, NE Tad Bauer, President of Bauer Built, Inc.


of Durand, WI, announces the acquisition of Central Tire & Tread headquartered in Lexington, NE. Ernie and Ronda Harris have owned and operated Central Tire & Tread for the past 24-1/2 years. Te effective date of the acquisition was June 2, 2015. According to Bauer, this acquisition is the result of continuing efforts by Bauer Built to expand their existing operations as part of their overall growth strategy. Bauer Built will continue to offer Michelin,


BFGoodrich and Michelin Retreads. It will expand the Central Tire offering to include mechanical services and add Continental, General, Hercules, Kumho, Bridgestone, and Firestone to the location’s brand line-up. Bauer also announced that the company


will be investing in a 20,000 square foot premier truck and retail facility in Lexington to further their capability in that market. Bauer Built will operate out of the existing Central Tire & Tread facility until the new facility is up and running. Te projected completion date is early fall of 2015. Bauer Built Inc, is the ninth largest


commercial tire dealer in the U.S. and has been in business 71 years servicing the Midwest with tires and mechanical service. With the addition of Central Tire & Tread, Bauer Built now has 35 tire centers, seven Michelin Retread Technology retread plants and four wheel refinishing operations.
