Maxwell up for local awards
Pitchcare’s parent company, Maxwell Amenity, shortlisted twice in Shropshire Business Awards
Maxwell Amenity Ltd. (the parent company behind
Pitchcare.com and Amenity Land Solutions) has been shortlisted to the final four for two awards at the Shropshire Business Awards 2015.
Having entered this year for the first time as Maxwell Amenity Ltd., the company is in with a chance of winning the ‘Outstanding Customer Service’ Award, as well as ‘Apprentice of the Year’.
Each year, The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce presents the best of Shropshire’s businesses at the awards. Ten awards will be given this year, following an assessment and site visits from an independent panel of adjudicators.
Maxwell Amenity is a medium sized business employing over seventy full-time staff. The company provides products and
services to sports turf, landscaping and lawn care, including Premier League football clubs and high profile golf courses. Since a merger in 2009, the business has adopted a proactive strategy of employing apprentices, skill developing them, and integrating them into a fast growing, vibrant, and challenging business. Working alongside Matrix Training & Development Ltd and Telford College of Art & Technology, eleven apprentices have been trained and taken on into different areas of the business in the last four years.
Pitchcare.com is the primary e- commerce trading site for Maxwell Amenity Ltd, specialising in professional turf care products and servicing a diverse range of customers, from national stadia, PGA golf courses, through to lawn care businesses and homeowners. In recent years, the business has
invested in a dedicated customer service and logistics department, and has developed integrated customised software to manage customer issues.
Today,
Pitchcare.com is rated a 5-star merchant on Google, with 100% review rating, whilst on Feefo a 98% service and 99% product rating has been achieved from 3,000 customer reviews in the last twelve months.
Dan Hughes, Marketing Manager at Maxwell Amenity Ltd, comments; “From last year’s winners, you can see the scale of competition for each of the awards, and many of the well established and successful
companies that compete. Being shortlisted to the top four for both ‘Outstanding Customer Service’ and ‘Apprenticeships’ is something that everyone here, and particularly many of the younger staff who have come through the apprentice scheme, should be proud of.”
The awards ceremony takes place on the 26th June.
