How our Reception day is structured


North Side


• 08:55 We come in, hang up our coats and put our book bags in our drawers


• 09:00 - 09:15 Register and talk about our morning activities and topic using our visual timetable for


• 09:15 - 09:45 Phonic activities • 09:45 - 10.15 Outdoor activities • 10:15 - 10:30 Snack time (milk & fruit) & story


• 10.30 - 11.35 Indoor/outdoor activities & topic focused teacher led small group work


• 11.35 - 11.45 Tidy up time and wash hands before lunch


• 11:45 - 12:45 Lunch time • 12:45 We come in hang up our coats


• 12:50 - 13:00 Register and talk about our afternoon activities using our visual timetable


• 13:00 - 13:20 Whole class numeracy


• 13:20 - 14:30 Targeted numeracy teaching in small groups. The remaining children free flow inside and outside – and in small groups partake in the following activities:


• Monday - Circle Time • Tuesday - P.E. • Thursday - Music, Mandarin and P.T.C • Friday - Circle Time • 14.30 - 15.15 Outdoor Activities • 15:15 - 15:30 Story or singing • 15:30 Home time


Integration


All the children access activities across all three classrooms and are taught by all members of the Foundation Stage Team.
