Awards success for Thames Valley business leader
A Thames Valley business leader has been recognised for his excellence at the IoD London and the South Director of the Year Awards
James Woollard, managing director of Polythene UK, of Witney, Oxfordshire, won the Chairman’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
“As always, the standard set by all our finalists was exceptional, so for James to win is a tremendous achievement,” said Rodger Broad, director of the IoD South.
“He will go forward to the national IoD awards later in the year where he will compete with directors from around the country for the title of UK Director of the Year.”
Woollard received his award on Wednesday, April 22, in the prestigious surroundings of the Nash Room at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, London.
Run by the Institute of Directors (IoD) and open to members and non-members, the awards are sponsored by PwC LLP and bring together company directors from a variety of backgrounds, recognising their qualities as business leaders.
