SECOND PLACE Large Kitchen: By Design, Elma Gardner, CMKBD A contemporary loft aesthetic in a suburban ranch style home. The clean lines, high contrast color scheme and state of the art cooking appliances make this kitchen a chef’s dream and

a contemporary statement. Storage maximization coupled with the creation of a comfortable eat in kitchen showcases how small changes can create a dramatic new functional space with minimal structural change.

SECOND PLACE Small Bath: Unique Techniques, Cindy Garten A Suite for Her. “I can barely fit in to use the toilet or take a shower,” were the words my artistic client used to describe what she didn’t like about her existing 26.9 sq ft bathroom located

in her one story 1950’s home. The bathroom was enlarged, a wall hung sink installed, frameless glass shower enclosure added, and the medicine cabinet recessed resulting in a functional, artsy, suite for her.
