Freight Acquisitions in 2015

Merger and Acquisition activity in the freight and logistics sector is predicted to increase in 2015 with a larger proportion of companies looking to expand their business over and above the organic growth experienced in 2014.

Many companies didn’t achieve what they’d hoped to in terms of acquisition last year, however, the freight and logistics sector performed well overall in 2014, as did the economy, and this growth trend looks set to continue into this year.

In addition to the economy improving, particularly in Europe, supply chains are now impacting markets without a previous presence prompting more investment in growth.

Acquisitions are a great source of stable, additional business both as a bolt-on to the existing client base, and as a means of diversification. They can take time, however, and to make reviewing the market easier Headford have collated opportunities.
