Trucking Association’s Maintenance & Technology Council and Safety Management Council hosted a Level 1 roadside inspection with the Arkansas Highway Police. The event was held in Little Rock, Ark. Forty-six participants from 18 different companies attended the presentation and on-site demonstra- tion.

Arkansas Highway Police was around all day sharing information about impor- tant roadside inspections and what to look for. Dennis Hilton of CalArk International, orchestrated the truck and trailer in front of the Capitol for both morning and afternoon sessions. At the meeting, Terry Johnson


of Arkansas Trailer, presented Maintenance & Technology Council (MTC) Chairman Duke Fancher of Summit Truck Group, with the Carl Tapp Gavel, named for ATA’s first MTC chairman.
