Grote Industries appointed Jim Braun as


chief financial officer and John Grote as vice president of sales and marketing. Braun’s history with the company began in the mid 1980s, when he accepted a position as the organization’s manager of general ac- counting. After holding various positions, he was moved into the position of vice president of corporate strategic planning and development. Braun holds a BBA from the University of Cincinnati and earned his MBA from Ball State University. Grote joined the family-owned business in 1999 as brand manager and held positions as mar- keting manager and aftermarket sales and marketing director. He has a BS from Clem- son University and an MBA from Indiana University. In 2005, Grote was tapped to


lead the company’s efforts in establishing a European office and became the first man- aging director of Grote Industries Europe.


Navistar International Corporation ap-


pointed Steve Ostarello to vice president of the company’s powertrain product devel- opment organization. Ostarello has been with the company for more than 25 years and has held numerous roles including his most recent assignment as general manager, powertrain product development. Ostarello has been leading the company’s powertrain product development organization on an interim basis since the post was vacated ear- lier this year. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

ed Mike Murray, president and CEO of FirstGroup America to its board of direc- tors. As a board member, Murray will help guide NSC’s overall strategy. He will also serve as a trustee for the organization, as- sisting with the group’s development and fundraising activities. His term as a board member runs through 2010. “I am honored to help the National
