INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS Industry Everyday Solutions, Inc., received a $2.8 million investment from


a group that includes the executive chairman of Ford Motor Co., William Clay Ford, Jr. Last year, Ford, along with two other partners, founded Fontinalis Partners, a private equity firm in Michigan, to fo- cus on transportation technology. Everyday Solutions President and CEO Jay Wurts said that this latest round of financing will be used to expand the company’s penetration into the school bus market.


Los Angeles Unified School District recently purchased 130 Saf-

IMMI opened a final assembly plant in High Point, N.C., for


its SafeGuard FlexSeat and SafeGuard Integrated Child Seat to offer just-in-time deliveries to the Tomas Built Buses C2 plant located two blocks away. IMMI will continue to manufacture school bus seat components and seat- ing modules at its Westfield, Ind., facility.
