Jack Parsons from A-Z Bus Sales has
retired after 59 years in the industry. He started at Crown Coach Corp., in 1951 as a heavy-duty mechanic and later a foreman and then salesman. Parsons joined A-Z Bus Sales as a special project advisor in 1991 after Crown Coach closed. He became known as the “Alternative Fuel Guru” be- cause of his ability to route the CNG buses from Georgia to California, and because he was a certified engine expert. Some of the many changes that Parsons was a fore- runner of include: 10-inch brakes-drums; removal of rear and side door chains in favor of door buzzers; changing the ramp curb specifications on all highways in Cali- fornia; and changes and modifications with school bus mirrors.

CEO Jim LoPresti was elected to the Board of Trustees for the National Truck Equipment Association as a distributor member representative. Te NTEA cur- rently represents nearly 1,700 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, buy, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and ac- cessories. Te NTEA Board is composed of eight distributor and four manufac- turer representatives. Trustee candidates are nominated and elected by the gen- eral membership prior to the annual convention for three-year terms. Te new- ly elected Board was introduced in March at the NTEA’s Work Truck Show.

manager. Nolen has over 23 years of expe- rience in the A/C industry. Based in Keller, Texas, Nolen will be calling on Trans/Air accounts and developing new business in Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Da- kota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas.
