be completed and shipped to the museum by 20 December.

The new tug TATE MCALLISTER just launched at Washburn & Doughty in East Boothbay.

In the upper shop the 29 foot Joel White designed cruising doubleender being fi nished for a local customer was ready to have her lead keel fi tted. They would next step the mast and obtain the rig lengths. She is scheduled to be done in November. The second VA PENSERIO was get- ting a new keel and rudder designed by Jim Taylor of Marblehead, MA. When this is complete she will be shipped to California. There is also a lot of other work sched-

uled. A Hinckley 55 foot Talaria will be in for cabin and system work; a Dyer 40 will have her interior modifi ed; and a 15 square meter is getting new masts.

Other work around the yard will in- clude: dredging around the docks; chang- ing one of the storage sheds from cold to hot storage; pouring new cement for the bulkhead around the main shop, which will replace the wooden one; replacing the siding and windows in the old-school building; up- grading the electrical input from 200 to 600 amps; and installing a new dust collection system.

Hank Hinckley Boatbuilder in Man- set is getting ready to start work on one of the three Hinckley boats he purchased earlier this year. They include a Hinckley Pilot, a Bermuda 40, and a Hinckley 38. Hank was not sure which one he would

start fi rst and it is between the Pilot and the Bermuda 40. The Pilot needs a new engine, wiring, lighting and paint. The Bermuda 40 also needs interior work and upgrades. A Great Harbor 26, which was rebuilt last season at the yard, unfortunately sank in a Maryland lake this summer do to a bilge pump issue. She has been raised and repaired, and is for sale for a more than reasonable price of $44,900 or best offer. Hank is also working on three other projects at other locations. He has a 52 foot Ocean Cruising Yacht in Wilmington; a 42 foot Ocean Cruising Yacht in Rhode Island; and a Hinckley Pilot 35 in Massachusetts.

One of the busier shops on the coast, and has been for the last several years, is SW Boat Works in Lamoine.
