regulations. “Our problems are basically the same,” he said. Louis Campion, president of MMTA,
said Levine won’t have trouble serving all types of carriers. “Howard will give a strong voice to all,”
he said, “and I’m sure he’ll be very motivat- ed to leave his mark on MMTA by doing something that he feels is worthwhile. Howard always wants to do right by the industry, the organization, and by others. He has a real service mentality that I think will be effective for him this year.” Levine says being chairman of MMTA is
an honor he takes seriously. He recognizes the trust that is being placed in him by freight haulers who believe he’ll serve their interests well. He doesn’t want to let them down. “I love the people,” he said. “I love the
industry. Those of us in trucking are a ded- icated breed that keeps the economy going.” BTW
