Call for new partners to tackle climate change


Oxford-based ClimateCare is celebrating after winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. The award was made to mark the organisation’s outstanding contributions to alleviating poverty and tackling climate change, and now the team is keen to encourage more Thames Valley businesses to come on board.


By working with a wide range of partners, ClimateCare is able to develop and structure finance for integrated climate and development projects.


These deliver a broad range of environmental, health, economic and social benefits and so far the company has helped improve the lives of more than six million people, as well as helping to reduce over 16.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

Reading FC and Royal Berkshire Conference Centre win Stadium Experience award


The operations team that look after Reading Football Club and the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre have been recognised at the Stadium Events and Hospitality Awards 2014, winning gold and the title of Operations Team of the Year, writes Nicola Hall of the Compass Group


The awards organised by Stadium Experience was held at home of the Hull City Tigers, the KC Stadium, and saw over 300 guests from football, rugby and national stadia gather to celebrate their ‘off the pitch’ successes.
