Damien specialises in commercial property matters. He deals with all aspects of commercial property transactions including negotiating leases on behalf of landlords and tenants, acquiring and disposing of commercial property for owner occupiers and investor clients. Damien has experience dealing with secured lending work and frequently represents financial institutions to protect their interests in commercial property transactions.


Damien has acted on develop- ment transactions and has dealt with numerous development projects in the South East. He frequently advises both landown- ers and developers on option and promotion agreements and has expertise handling complex overage provisions relating to development sites. He has represented developer clients acquiring land with the benefit of planning permission


and also


works with several strategic land promoters in the South East. His experience also includes advising on planning agreements with the local


authority and highways department.

Matthew has spent the majority of his career advising high street retailers, international logistics companies, banking institutions, sporting organisations, PLCs, IT and professional service suppliers as well as owner managed and SME enterprises on a broad range of commercial and corporate matters.


Matthew has a particular specialism in outsourcing, agency, distribution, supplier, IT and professional service agreements and also advises on corporate start-ups, share and asset acquisitions and shareholder and partnership agreements.


Matthew originally qualified and practised as a solicitor in Victoria, Australia before permanently moving to the UK in 2002 and prides himself on delivering practical and pragmatic legal advice to help client's achieve their commercial objectives.


Darren Price

Darren originally studied Business Studies and then secured employ- ment with Guinness Plc (later to become Diageo Plc) in London working in their Export Department and then as a buyer. He then retrained to become a lawyer, completing his studies at the University of Exeter and returned to his roots in Hampshire where he has since worked in the legal profession.


Darren’s principal areas of expertise include wills, lasting/enduring powers of attorney, administration of estates, applications for grant of probate, inheritance tax planning, creation and administration of trusts and declaration of trusts for co-owners of land.


Darren is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is the Secretary of the Central Southern Branch. He is also a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society, the Hampshire Law Society Committee and Solicitors For the Elderly.

Akbar is an experienced commer- cial property solicitor who deals with all aspects of commercial property

landlord & tenant matters, property portfolio management and acquisitions & disposals.


Akbar has acted for a wide variety of clients ranging from national retailers and charities to start up businesses and is also experienced in secured lending work, conditional contracts (including overage agreements and option agreements), insolvency related transactions and leasehold enfranchisement.


A graduate of Brunel University, Akbar completed his training at Paris Smith LLP and was admitted as a solicitor in 2010.
