Beebe told the crowd that all “these athletes have done is win,” as he referred to their commitment through a time period where they experienced three differ- ent head coaches in as many years. The Red Wolves defeated Ball State 23-20 for their second consecutive bowl victory for the first time in program history. The game was won on a blocked field goal.

Cache River log jam removal celebrated in Jackson County

Above: Jackson County Judge Jeff Phillips surveys one of four major log jams in the Cache River near Grubbs, Ar., last year. Phillips was instrumental in a multi-county effort to remove two of the log jams. The Cache River Nonprofit Association includes nine county judges and several citizens with a goal of increasing the flow of the Cache and limiting unnecessary flooding. Two of the log jams were successfully removed in October of 2013.

Left: Pictured is an image taken after one of the log jams was removed. The Cache River Non- profit Association has future plans to remove the other two log jams in this section of the river.
