Micro-brewery plan for farm ‘small beer’


A FARM building at Boughton Monchelsea could be turned into a micro-brewery. BB Firmin Farms is seeking to change the use of the 257sqmshed at Campfield Farm, in Haste Hill Road. The brewery would be expected

Manager to retire early


PAULAlcock has confirmed he is to retire as general manager of The Mall at the end of March. Mr Alcock (60) has agreed to

has been a well- known figure both


in the town, being a big oppo- nent of moving the town’s CCTV to Medway, and on the football pitch, where his 20- year career in officiating peaked with a five-year spell as a Premier League referee be- tween 1995 and 2000. Mr Alcock has been an active trustee and member of the Town Centre Management and volunteer with the Urban Blue Bus, both of which he plans to remain involved with after his retirement.
