e were lucky enough to have the Broadchurch
cast and crew film in our shop on and off for 6 months. About 3 months before what I now believe a talent scout came in looking for shops to be used, although she did not let much out, just that she wanted premises, then a phone call followed asking would we be interested in having the shop appear on tv.
They filmed the inside of our shop and the outside of a shop in West Bay. It is very clever how they can make it look like one shop.
It was very exciting to meet all the characters and crew, they were
very friendly and easy to talk too. I sat for hours in between shots chatting to the 3 main stars being David Tennent, Olivia Coleman and David Bradley. David Bradley is originally from York so me being a Yorkshire lass too we had plenty to discuss. Olivia is a working mum so we had things in common there, and David T, well lots to chat about, my hubby is Scottish and we had lots in common, he loved our selection of Scottish sweets in jars although he did not have any. He is quite a shy man but appreciates that his fan’s want to get to him. I never did let on to him that I did not recognise him, although the crew knew and thought it was very funny!
