Happy Birthday Dressage Affaire! March 7-9 in Del Mar The Dressage Affaire marks its 10th year anniversary this season and sees a changing of the guard. The show’s founder Kim Keenan has turned over the reins to Lisa Blaufuss, whose Crackerjack Productions is familiar to many as the management company in charge of the CDS San Diego Chapter show and the Spooktacular Halloween Dressage Show. Lisa promises to carry on the Dressage Affaire’s tradition of excellence and elegance and, as always, spectators can count on it as a great place to get a glimpse of the coming year’s biggest star pairings because it hosts qualifiers for national championships at every level, plus the North American Junior Young Riders Championships. (CCEA) 2’6’ and 3’ Medals. Exhibitors can now compete at our schooling shows to qualify for the CCEA medal each year, which is generally held in July. It felt only natural as their mission is so closely related to our own; to educate, support and unite the equine community. We are extremely excited to begin our 2014 show season and hope to see some new faces this year. Our venues, Shiloh West in Castro Valley, and Robertson Park in Livermore, have been supportive of our series and welcome you to join us! The five-show series opens April 13 and closes Sept. 28, both at Shiloh West in Castro Valley. More information and premium books can be obtained from our website at www.

Third Year for Five-Show H/J Schooling Series Various dates April 13 through Sept. 28 in the East Bay Area’s Castro Valley and Livermore The KMT Tri-Valley Classic Schooling Show Series, now in its third year, is dedicated to bringing our local community a well-organized, fun and efficiently run show series to meet the needs of students learning the ropes of showing. We strive to model our shows after the rated shows with regard to class descriptions and divisions. Exhibitors can compete to earn show champion and reserve champion prizes, as well as year-end high points in their respective divisions. The series also boasts its very own KMT Classic Equitation Medal series, in which riders must qualify to compete in the finals at year’s end. This year we are excited to announce the finals are sponsored by KL Select, impressive since last year’s winner went home with a $250 gift certificate! One of our goals in designing the show series was to bring together the trainers, the participants and their families, and local businesses to build a strong community of like-minded, horse-loving individuals who want to see our industry stay strong at the lower levels. We have an exemplary list of generous donors that support the shows and our exhibitors take home the most amazing gifts and prizes. Last year our sponsor list included great companies like Voltaire Design, KL Select and Alltech, and our list of local companies was just as impressive: Western Saddlery, Happy Trails & Co. Iron Horse Equestrian, Orinda Village Horse Shop, Horse & Style Magazine, Art By Turi, Whimsey ‘Z Cookies, Original Artwork by A. Bamber. Just last year we expanded our class list and added the Central Coast Equestrian Association
