KIA has received yet another award for its industry-leading, seven-year warranty. First introduced on the European-


designed and -built Cee’d in 2007, the manufacturer-backed warranty is marking its seventh anniversary and has been lauded with the CarBuyer ‘Buyer’s Award’ in its 2014 honours. Since the seven-year warranty was


first applied to the Cee’d, 82,884 ve- hicles have found homes with UK consumers. The warranty was also applied to Sportage models from late 2007. And since January 2010 more than 200,000 Kia customers have ben- efited from the warranty. Commenting on the generous after- sales car package, Paul Philpott, pres- ident and chief executive of Kia Mo- tors (UK) Limited, said: “Over the last seven years hundreds of thousands of British motorists have benefited from the security provided by the seven-year warranty – across Europe that number rises to millions! “And still, no-one in the European market has really matched the level of cover and the simplicity of our warranty. As we approach the war- ranty’s seventh birthday – and there are still cars out there from day one with their warranties fully functional – it is a great honour that CarBuyer has recognised what a game-changer it has been for the motorist.”
