Justice Statistics (BJS) announced. Between 2002 and 2011, the most recent decade in the BJS analysis, about half of female victimizations (52 percent) involved threats to harm the victim prior to the physical attack. About 8 percent suffered sexual violence and about 18 percent involved a weapon.
