TAKING stock to take home the trophy was the name of the game for YFC members at the Royal

twodays, displayedeagerness and passion foragriculture. “They have worked extremely


hardtopreparetheir breeding stock or practising forthe stock- judging and lamb trimming com- petitions.Congratulations to all whocompeted and thank youfor displaying the fruits of their labour to farmers in Wales and beyond.”


Montgomery YFC shared the


top place in the butchers’ beef judging prizewith Clwyd, while


Radnor were placed third. Brecnock topped the tableinthe butchers’ lambs judging, ahead of Radnor and Montgomery, while the lamb carcass judging waswon by Gwent YFC,with Meirionyddinsecond and Carmarthenshireinthird. The lamb trimming competi-

excellent standardand it is extremelypleasing forour mem- bers when prices such as these are achieved.”
