the less fortunate in the city. “Memphis is a great city and what we want to provide is an opportunity. Its not fair that one kid can graduate the valedictorian of his class, overcoming horrendous obstacles, and then has to go to an interview in worn khaki pants, when another kid he is going up against walks in a new pressed suit because his parents make more money.” Teir initial event was at the Boys & Girls Club in September

where over thirty suits were custom measured. Te first two suits were brought back a couple weeks later, along with a shirt and tie and complete with a custom stitched label with the new owner’s name. Tey hope to make the event quarterly, and then move on

to set up similar events at sites such as the Fraysure Leadership Empowerment Center. Te group also envisions future projects such as offering the top graduating male at every Memphis City High School a custom fit suit. Te group has been featured so far on WREG’s Live at 9, on WMC Channel 5, and in the Memphis Business Journal. Founder Justin Tomas is the founder of the Tomas Family Law firm. Those wishing to make suit or financial contributions should go to www.memphissuitproject.com or contact them at info@ memphissuitproject.com. Applicants can also request a suit on the website.
