RONT • UP FRONT SCOTLAND NEWS
Updates from AGR’s Scottish arm, provided by Hazel McAllister, Employer Engagement Adviser at University of Strathclyde and Mark Darley, HR Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Scotland and Northern Ireland:
“The AGR Scotland Forum met on 21st August kindly hosted by Caroline at PwC in Edinburgh.
“One of the most dynamic aspects of the Scottish AGR Forum is the diverse range of industry sectors involved with strong representation from universities, employers and professional bodies. At the most recent meeting we discussed; University Skills & Employability Awards, the HEAR, and the AGR Survey. There is still confusion and a lack of awareness about HEAR amongst AGR Scotland members, meaning that most employers would not be incorporating into their recruitment and selection processes. All members were keen to receive more detailed and sector specific data from the surveys and many felt that a more detailed survey once a year would be more beneficial.”
