The Early Bird at Grove Green is now taking bookings for Christmas meals and if you are planning a Christmas party then consider hiring the function room, which is free to hire for parties of 40 or more. The pub will be holding a ‘School disco’ style New Years Eve Party. The pub offers classic dishes as well as a selection of delicious sandwiches and baguettes. Homemade burgers are their speciality and definitely worth a try.
If it’s a delicious festive meal in front of a cosy log fire then The Kings Arms at Boxley is definitely the place for you. The traditional
country-dining pub serves real ale and a seasonal menu using fresh local ingredients. The pubs cosy interior features red chesterfield sofas and exposed beams. Bookings are now being taken for Christmas – be sure to book early !
For something a little more down to earth – a fish and chip supper certainly fits the bill. The Chequers Fish Bar in Lenham is a family run business that prides itself on using only the best quality ingredients - fish from Grimsby Fish Market and potatoes sourced from local suppliers. All the food is freshly fried in pure vegetable oil. On Fridays the fish bar now serves salmon, which is available grilled or fried along with all the usual favourites.
