rules changed KCC HAS changed rules gov- erning a gypsy and traveller site at Coldharbour. Families who can prove a
local connection to the Ton- bridge and Malling borough will now be given priority when pitches are allocated. KCC will consider people
from outside the area in excep- tional circumstances. The deci- sion was made by KCC’s environment, highways and waste cabinet committee. The Coldharbour site, near Allington and Aylesford, will soon have 18 new pitches, which are likely to be filled by local families on a waiting list.
Fair success MAIDSTONE Mencap’s grand summer fair made an expected profit of at least £5,000, which will help to continue the work of its playschool and clubs for adults and children with severe learning difficulties and dis- abilities.
