FIREX INTERNATIONAL WAVES FAREWELL TO THE NEC AND MOVES TO THE BIG SMOKE!

F

IREX International took place on 13-16 May at Birmingham’s NEC for the last time. Next year the fl agship fi re exhibition will

relocate to ExCeL London, where it will become an annual event. More than 50 per cent of the fl oor plan has been confi rmed

for 2014, with top exhibitors including: Apollo Fire, Cooper Fulleon, Detector Testers, Electro Detectors, Hochiki, Kidde, Wagner and many more. FIREX International has received overwhelming support for the move to London, based on the understanding of the event and value the visitors recognise it brings. The event has undergone an overhaul of its content as it keeps pace with industry demands, it has adapted to embrace the trends and concerns the industry faces. Showcasing the latest product innovations, technologies, services and solutions available, the show will prove to offer even more in 2014. Gerry Dunphy, FIREX Sales Director, said: “As the cross-pollination

between the fi re and security sectors continues to increase, and the growth of security companies looking at fi re alarm design and installation is seismic. We’re committed to providing as many opportunities as possible to the active and passive fi re sectors, celebrating the excellence in product design, innovation and

installation across the industry. We can’t wait to show what we have in store for London 2014!” Visiting from Ashtac Limited, Athol Hampson, Director said: “FIREX is and always has been a great place to meet clients and network with new faces. It’s really not that often that you can get everyone in the same place, so it’s vital for any company wanting to generate new leads. I’m looking forward to the move to London, especially as the show will be condensed into three days which I feel is a more productive format.” FIREX International is part of the UBM Live Protection & Management Series which includes IFSEC International (the world’s largest dedicated security show), Safety & Health Expo (Europe’s defi nitive annual event that brings together the safety and health industry) and Facilities Show (the UK’s largest facilities event). London 2014 will see brand new shows join the protection and management series, including Safe Cities Exhibition and Conference. FIREX International 2014 will move to ExCeL, London from 17 – 19 June 2014, for more information visit www.fi rex.co.uk.
