36 hospitality & travel Spring into summer with the Ageas

The Ageas Bowl events’ team has put together an innovative package for those using the venue as a conference facility this spring and summer.

Incorporating the ground’s local sporting links as the home of Hampshire Cricket, the new ’Spring into Sport’ promotion includes a game of rounders, the chance to win hospitality at Wimbledon and a menu offering plenty of local produce, as well as a data projector and screen, flip chart, delegate stationery and on-site parking.

The menu of refreshments includes:

Tee off with... coffee and tea and a continental breakfast treat (granola-flapjack bar with yogurt topping and dried fruits). Upgrade options of a full English breakfast with frittata or pancakes and waffles, or a buffet for a small additional fee.

End of first innings... superfood smoothies (seasonal berries or a shot of beetroot or wheatgrass)

Flybe unveils price lock-down in an industry first

Flybe has become the first UK airline to offer its customers the opportunity to ’hold’ their preferred online fare for 24 hours with the launch of its price lock-down. By guaranteeing that the price of their chosen flight itinerary is held, travellers now have the benefit of being able to check and finalise all their travel details before confirming and paying for their Flybe flight.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s director of marketing, commented: “We appreciate our customers have busy lives and that making travel plans should be as quick, easy and convenient as possible. To this end, our new price lock-down is an enabler to travel, allowing Flybe to guarantee the price of a flight for

24 hours so our online bookers can go ahead and firm up any other travel details with complete peace of mind.

“We’re also pleased to once again be the UK industry leader in introducing this additional benefit for our online customers that gives them more flexibility and choice than any other airline when initiating travel plans.“

Flybe’s price lock-down is available from just £5 on all Essentials and New Economy bookings made online and when made no later than 14 days prior to the date of travel.

Flybe is Europe’s largest regional airline, operating from 34 UK destinations including Southampton Airport.
