An Eastern 34 had new fuel tanks put
in. They were aluminum and they opted to replace them with plastic, which was done by Triple M Plastics of Kennebunk. A Bristol 38.8 has received a new suite
of electronics. A Cape George 38, designed by Lyle Hess, was in for structural repairs. She suffered from delamination in the cockpit around the propane locker. The problem originated from the battery box and was caused by acid damage. A 38 foot Beneteau was in to have her keel bolts replaced. This was a tough job.
Riverside Boat Yard in Newcastle has had a busy winter.
The new 31-foot Concordia under con-
struction is now having her interior installed. They have milled 21 cabin beams with tongue and groove overhead, which will be fi tted soon. Her fuel and water tanks are in and the three cylinder Universal diesel is in place, but not completely hooked up. Her 48 foot mast is nearly complete. They still need to shape the boom. Her sails will be built by Nathaniel Wilson of East Boothbay. She is scheduled to be done the end of the summer. Like many yards along the coast they have a lot of small jobs. A 26 foot 1935 Malcolm Brewer built boat had hers seems reefed out and they sister some frames and refastened where needed. An Aage Nielsen double ender LUCY was in to be re-caulked. Riverside stores 60 to 70 wooden boats and all will need to be ready for the upcom- ing season.
