significant progress on our turnaround, and I want to thank Lewis for his guidance and
leadership during this period,” Clarke stated in a release. “Working together, we have implemented a number of important actions to set Navistar on the right path.” Clarke said he would focus on strengthening Navistar’s North
American core businesses, which includes the IC Bus brand, as well as improving quality and customer satisfaction, driving future profit- ability and increasing stock prices. He had served as president and chief operating officer of the com-
pany during Lewis’ tenure as interim CEO. Clarke joined Navistar in January 2010 as senior vice president of strategic initiatives. He previously served as president of truck and engine operations as well as president of the company’s Asia Pacific operations. Clarke drove Navistar’s decision announced last summer to adopt urea-based SCR technology for its Maxxforce line of diesel engines.

experience in building strong customer rela- tionships, teamwork and an established re- cord of business growth, the company said in a statement. He also brings along knowledge of the specialty vehicle industry after serving five years with Pierce Manufacturing Inc.
Peters replaced Kent Tyler, who last year was appointed the presi- dent and CEO of E-ONE, Inc. “We have taken our time searching for the right person to fill the posi-
tion at Collins Bus. Dan’s focus on the customer and experience in the specialty vehicle industry make him ideal for this position,” said Tyler. James Meyer, chief operating officer of ASV, said the company is
excited to welcome Peters to the Collins Bus team. “Dan’s proven record of leading businesses through consistent
sales growth and, perhaps more importantly, his focus on developing organizations and maintaining strong customer relationships makes him an ideal leader for Collins Bus,” Meyer added.
